This is a progression of a basic side plank. Marching the bottom leg, forces the groin (adductors ) to fire. We don’t always lift heavy. We don’t only lift weights. When we do, we never go to absolute technical failure. .. .. Yes, we lift weights. Like we actually lift weights. Like not 100 repetitions, random weird body stabilization’s, or tying yourself to a rubber band while standing on a box solving a Rubik’s cube blindfolded...because none of that is strength training. And our goal isn’t to lift weights it’s to get stronger. .. .. It’s not fluffy crazy or cute it’s just simple movements programmed progressively and specific to the athlete. If it says 6 reps we find a weight we couldn’t do 8 but could do 7 safely. .. .. Just because heavy true strength training is something we talk about often, doesn’t mean it’s all we do. This video is a reset week where we are going through the basic fundamentals of movement, upper body deceleration, and landing mechanics. Learning how to create and distribute tension and hammering in the basic fundamentals prior to progressing. .. .. You can’t judge someone’s programming based on their Instagram. And if you disagree, try talking to them first. We don’t program for Johnny in August the same way we do in December. This years Volleyball team is programmed way different than last years. .. .. It isn’t a specific METHOD or certification.
