🔇WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME AN INFOGRAPHIC CHANGED YOUR LIFE?🔇⁣ ⁣ Infographics are great! They're short, simple and easy to get the point. However they are really black or white and doesn't take any consideration into the fact that different things will work for different people. Honestly when you have been scrolling FB or IG for 30 min and you read 20 of them. How much do you remember 15 minutes later? Did you reflect at all if you found something that you can apply to grow, get better and feel more confident? 🌱⁣ ⁣ Less is really more when we're bombarded with more information that we can possible handle or apply! Sure being in your own head is awesome, planning and theorizing can be highly beneficial. Yet there's nothing like real world experience! PROGRESS 🌻 mom jeans finally becoming mom jeans again instead of skinny fit jeans! So much comfier to wear now. I took that photo on the left when I felt like enough was enough, and I wanted to get in shape. Morning Meltdown 100 31-32/100 Upbeat Strength and Cardio Meltdown⁣ ⁣ It’s week 2 of Phase 2, so that means the 100 second challenges are back! And the challenges today kicked my butt. Of course I’m still working on my form for those renegade rows but my hips still have a mind of their own! And then after all that upper body work, I topped it off with cardio. The 100 sec challenge looked so simple, but my 45 seconds, my heart rate was through the roof. My FIVE Secrets to Building Muscle 💪🏽⁣ ⁣ 1. Eat in a caloric surplus: figure out your maintenance calories by multiplying bodyweight by 14-16 based on your activity level. Add 250-500 calories to that per day based on how intense of a bulk you want to do. Thats your calorie target each day. 🎯 ⁣ ⁣ 2. Train hard and heavy 4-5 days per week. No, not 6-7. If you want to build muscle, your body needs time to rest, recover, and grow. 🏋🏼‍♂️⁣ ⁣ 3. Stay hydrated! 1 gallon of water per day minimum for men and 3/4 a day for women. 💧⁣ ⁣ 4. Prepare your meals for the week in advance: its so easy to fall off your goals or targets if you don’t have food prepared. Having those meals with you and just popping them in the microwave when you’re ready makes everything so much easier! Plus you can tailor your meals to your exact macronutrient/ calorie goals for the day. 🍚🍠🥒🥩⁣ ⁣ 5. Prioritize recovery: If you neglect recovery and don’t spend time foam rolling, stretching, thera-gunning, lacrosse ball rolling, each day, you risk injury. “I did it, BUT...” has been the conversation I have with myself after the phase one workouts. It’s a weird habit I have and I’m trying to break it. I mean, who wants to hear that kind of negativity after killing 20 workouts?? Not me🙅‍♀️ I should be hyping myself up! So why do I always find a “but”? • After I knocked out two exercises today, caught my breath and internalized why I’m doing this, I think I know what I need to do: 1. Prioritize my time 2. Make good nutrition choices 3. Tackle the things that bring me anxiety (including 1 & 2😅 ) 4. Stop being so hard on myself I’m always going to find things I need to work on, but I shouldn’t let those flaws outshine my wins. At the same time, I can’t ignore that doing the four things I listed will make it easier to be proud of my wins. • My goal for this next phase is to start doing the things that will ease my stress in order to create a happier Brooke for the future💖... AND NO MORE BUTS 😂🙌
