Det er vanvittigt🚀 Men de bruger om nogen, den indbyggede fjeder i kroppen, til at bruge kroppens ressourcer bedst muligt, for at løbe så hurtigt så længe som muligt, for at kunne flygte fra geparderne 🐆 . 'Ja, men det er jo også et dyr.' Ja, men alligevel synes jeg Paula Radcliffe ligner lidt en gazelle på flere af hendes billeder. Hun løber 10km på lige over 30 minutter, og har løbet maraton på 2t:15min:25sek, som altså stadig er verdensrekord. Rekorden er fra 2003 🏆 . ULTRASOUND SCANNING👣⁠ ⁠ Introducing ultrasound to our practice 3 years ago completely transformed how we were able to help our patients. Up until then a lot of our conclusions were arrived at by clinical testing, experience and educated guesswork. Thats not to suggest for a moment that clinical testing, experience and educated guesses are not important but what ultrasound has offered through its somewhat hazy, 50 shades of grey has been, in fact, a tremendous amount of clarity. A comparação foi realizada com 60kg e 1RM para cada exercício. Foi observado que: 1. O glúteo máximo apresentou maior ativação na elevação pélvica que o agachamento (com 60kg e durante 1RM ), porém não foram observadas diferenças entre a elevação pélvica e o stiff; 2. Não foram observadas diferenças na ativação do bíceps femoral entre os exercícios e sobrecargas analisadas; 3. O vasto lateral apresentou maior ativação no agachamento que na elevação pélvica e no stiff (com 60kg e durante 1RM ), porém não foram observadas diferenças entre a elevação pélvica e o stiff. Segundo os autores, tanto a elevação pélvica como o stiff apresentam a capacidade de recrutar o glúteo máximo e o bíceps femoral, portanto, podem ser incluídos em programas que tem como objetivo enfatizar os extensores do quadril. Além disso, a elevação pélvica é capaz de causar grandes níveis de ativação do glúteo máximo mesmo quando uma baixa sobrecarga é utilizada (60kg ). Stop cheating the weight up by @muscleengineered - ‼️CHECK YOUR EGO and Tag someone who does this‼️ ⠀ 📍We’ve all seen this in the gym or we’ve done it ourselves. Cheating is known as using momentum to help you lift the weight up aka “cheating the weight up.” ⠀ 📍Example Let’s say you want to curl 100 lbs barbell to target the biceps. You can’t curl it with strict form, but, if you use your hips and extend your back really quickly using momentum to bring the bar up, you can bang out like 8-10 reps. ⠀ 📍The Misconception and the Problem This has been a common misconception with many people in the gym that by lifting heavier and cheating the weight up, it will help you increase the weight when you do strict form reps. The problem with that is, you have effectively reduced the amount of weight you are lifting by cheating. ⠀ 📍Let me explain… If you are able to lift 50 lbs for 8 reps with the last rep being the absolute max with good strict form, and then you do 100 lbs with cheating for 8 reps. You aren’t lifting the other 50 lbs with your biceps anymore. You start swinging and using your hips. ⠀ If your MAX 8 reps is 50 lbs, there is no way you’re lifting 100 lbs with your biceps only. Effort is the key determinant of the level of motor unit recruitment that is used in any muscular contraction. Increasing the level of effort in a rep (by pushing or pulling on the bar harder ) will increase the number of motor units that are being used. However, the level of motor unit recruitment does not determine the level of mechanical tension that the muscle fibers experience. This is determined by the force-velocity relationship. Thinking about these two fundamental physiological principles can help explain how muscle growth occurs after strength training (which involves slow movement speeds, either due to a heavy weight or fatigue ) but not after power training (which involves fast movement speeds ). Injury Prevention Tips 😊 The number one priority with training is to be consistent. What can get in the way of achieving this are injuries that occur due to several factors I will discuss. What generally causes injuries within the gym? The number one cause of injuries on the weights floor is the individual hurting themselves during the eccentric part of the movement (the lengthening part of the movement ). Having tempo structured within your training will stop this from occurring. An example would be having a tempo of 3010. What is 3010? Put simply the amount of time to perform 1 repetition. 3 seconds down on the eccentric part of the movement...0 seconds pause at the bottom...1 second up on the concentric part of the movement... 0 seconds rest at the top. Other variables Muscular imbalances are the second greatest cause of injuries. For example if you have over developed quadriceps but lagging hamstrings then the chance of pulling one of the muscles in the hamstring is greatly increased. The ideal power ratio for quadriceps and hamstrings is 60:40. If you're interested in finding out your power ratio you can find an organisation that has isokinetic cybex machines and test it for yourself. Make sure your programming your workouts so everything is evenly distributed. If you think not training “abs” is ok then good chance you're going to have a lower back injury along the way. An Injury Example A common injury is elbow tendonitis. There is a lot of bro science when it comes to how to treat this kind of injury. Constantly ice the injury, eccentrically load the triceps (true to a certain degree ) or don’t train triceps…...RUBBISH. What generally causes elbow tendonitis is muscular imbalance. Training biceps and triceps but neglecting the muscles of the forearm. Program weekly exercises for the extensors and flexors of the forearm. 4 sets of pronated wrist curls and supinated wrist curls with a straight barbell will alleviate the injury and fast. #periodization #science #biomechanics #injuries #prevention #knowledgeispower #tempo #eccentrictraining #onlinecoaching #teamhrvtska

Dynamic strength training🏋️‍♀️ . . As an athlete, we shouldn't solely focus on "traditional" strength exercises. Isolating a muscle to build strength only gets you so far, but more importantly...it's NOT FUNCTIONAL. . . Sports aren't isolated movements. When you're throwing a football, kicking a soccer ball, or swinging a golf club you're ENTIRE BODY is going through a chain reaction to load every muscle possible to help optimize your motion. Try throwing a ball as far as you can only using your arm. You have to stand with your body square to a target. You cant turn your chest, hips, or pivot foot. For the past two days I’ve restructured one of my major coding project over to this architecture and everything seems to be running smoothly. Beware the dreaded “WiFi Dish” that can effect the cervicothoracic junction. It’s so common that cafes are now writing it on their chalkboards 😂. But seriously, I’m guessing this person is rather mobile: some of us might not be able to achieve this particular pose. I watched her move in and out of this position, which seems better than staying there for long stretches of time. As I study folks with their laptops, I continue to feel that these are maybe the most ergonomically challenging of our digital devices. If the screen was at a good eye level, one’s arms would be way too high for comfort, and vise-versa. We need a laptop with a screen that telescopes up on stilts. Bosu Push Off Drill- this is a great drill to work on that initial push that you want to have before to start entering the strike zone with the barrel...when you swing, you want to try and avoid squashing the bug 🐛 Squasing the bug will make you open your front hip open to soon, sometimes make you hit the outside part of the ball, and making you have a too rotational swing...if you open your front hip too soon you will not allow your back hip get in line with the ball...That being said this drill will help you have the push, allow you to get your back hip in line with the ball and it will also help you create more acceleration through the ball

🚨WEIGHTED BALL PROGRAMS🚨 . 👌 Interesting study done by @mikereinold showcasing the effects of a 6-week weighted ball program on pitchers between the ages of 13 and 18. DM me for the full article. VERY interesting stuff. . ⚠️ I would relate weighted ball programs to a "get rich quick" scheme. IMO, they are designed and built to attract the consumer and easy to market. "Purchase our $500 program and you will learn all the secrets to getting rich fast" (ie. Increasing velocity ). Yes, you may gain 3, 4, 5 mph in 6 weeks, but at what cost? Torn rotator cuff at 14 years old? Labrum tear at 16 years old? Tommy John surgery at 18 years old? Maybe, maybe not, but clearly there is an increased risk of arm problems while doing one of these programs (a 24% increase according to this study ). . ✅ If you want to throw harder, by all means go ahead and do a weighted ball program. Clearly they are effective to increasing velocity.
