I have a very good website that catalogues most of the 200+ Acrylic woodland paintings I have done since the spring of 2016. All of the commissions and collections are listed with each painting in the sold section on the homepage - no fake sales or collections here lol - Might I also add that every single one of those 200+ works have been sold and most were sold long ago when they were made. There are currently 4 originals left and 3 are posted on www.brenthardisty.com - Thanks so much and have a great day everyone #ontarioartscouncil #oac #anishnabe #native #nativeart #woodland #woodlandart #firstnation #firstnationsart #fineart #contemporaryart #aboriginal #aboriginalart #indigenous #indigenousart #painting #acrylics #acrylicpainting #goldenpaints #sharewithgolden #artcollection #artcollector #artistsoninstagram #camera #photography #nikon #canada #canadianart

A few months back we went to this great Digital Museum in the Mori building in Japan. It was absolutely fantastic! There is something for everyone, including a digital aquarium, where people can draw sea creatures, scan and upload to the virtual aquarium. To my surprise I discovered I wasn’t the only countrymen in the ‘acquarium’ room at the exact time as the ‘shark’ artist (whoever you are? ). Please enjoy this beautiful new work by Ann Lane Nee Dixon🙂 This work shares the snakes travelling around sand-hill country to find water in the rock-holes at Pirrnpirrnga🙏 60x60cm | $729 | Free worldwide post and available via our bio link A lot of stories are still being recounted of long journeys of people from various language groups, who travelled from rockholes and waterholes to caves and mountains finally arriving at Haasts Bluff. The locals, Luritja people of Haasts Bluff, were already here. Thus Haasts Bluff is a community rich of diversity in language and culture. Ikuntji Artists was first established in 1992, after a series of workshops with Melbourne artist Marina Strocchi, and under the influence of the then community president, the late Esther Jugadai. The art centre was initially set up to fulfil the role of women’s centre providing services such as catering for old people and children in the community. After first experiences made in printing T-shirts, the artists began producing acrylic paintings on linen and handmade paper, which quickly gained the attention of the Australian and international art world as well as earning the centre an impressive reputation for fine art. The focus changed from a women’s centre to an art centre in 2005 with the incorporation of the art centre as Ikuntji Artists Aboriginal Corporation. The artists draw their inspiration from their personal ngurra (country ) and Tjukurrpa (Dreaming ). They interpret the ancestral stories by using traditional symbols, icons and motifs. The artistic repertoire of Ikuntji Artists is diverse and includes for example: naive as well as highly abstract paintings told by each artist in their personal signature style. Throughout the 21 years of its existence the art movement in Ikuntji has flourished and constantly left its mark in the fine art world. At the same time the art centre has been the cultural hub of the community, maintaining, reinforcing and reinvigorating cultural practices through art-making.

This Magnificently Striking Painting is by Caroline Numina Napananka Titled “Thorny Lizard Dreaming” Please click on the bag icons for all details including the Story/Dreaming behind this Magical Painting and the Artist’s Biography. This painting depicts the story of the skin of the “thorny devil” which is referred to by Anmatyerre people as “mountain devil lizard”. The thorny devil is a beautifully patterned dragon-like creature with barbs and humps across its back and large, bulging protuberances on its head, camouflaging its eyes. Surviving on small insects, it inhabits the dune areas of the country and can be found across much of the Western Desert. The lizard is said to change colours in the desert as the sun rises and sets and the dew catches upon their skin reflecting the ability of the Mountain Thorny Devil Lizard to change from plain to vivid colours. A very detailed work created by a series of swirls in the alluring colours of yellow, orange, red, pink and white. It captures a feeling of gentle transition and movement. Caroline is a young artist who has already made an incredible impression on the Contemporary Art Market. Born in 1975 at Stirling Station which is Anmatyerre country near Alice Springs and Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory of Australia and educated in Alice Springs, Caroline began painting in 1981, under the direction of two of our most famous Australian Artists, her aunties Kathleen and Gloria Petyarre. One of six girls, they were taught the traditional stories by their relatives, and with her sisters Lanita and Louise, Caroline relocated to Darwin in 1995 where she remains today with her husband Daniel Pula Turner and their four children, living close to her sisters Lanita, Jacinta, Louise and Sharon, all artists in their own right. She paints the stories of her heritage, including bush tucker and bush medicine dreaming, mountain devil lizard dreaming, honey ant, emu and kangaroo dreaming in exquisite detail and striking colours.

For the Turtle Fans 🐢🐢🐢 Turtle Shell pattern, inspired by the Tiwi Islands. I really wasn't sure what I was going to do for this one, originally wanted to do a full scale turtle however during my research stage I was intriqued by the pattern on the turtle shell - it's so beautiful what nature can create!!!
