Our staff is spending time together this week to celebrate where we’ve been and look forward to where we’re going. Fun fact: there are more people in this photo than were part of our church at the first Staff Advance! #staffadvance2019

“Sometimes the greatest barriers to the blessings of God in your future isn’t what the devil did to you. It’s what God did for you in one season that you expect him to repeat in the next season.” 🤯🤯🤯 Pastor @stevenfurtick
In the fall of 2018, Jordan found herself in jail, alone, being charged for accessory to a crime, leaving her 3-year-old daughter behind. She wondered how she had gotten so deep into this mess. She had suffered PTSD after being held at gun point earlier that year and began taking medication to help with her anxiety. When the prescriptions were not filled anymore, she began using illegal drugs to medicate and she quickly surrounded herself with like-minded people. It was then that she hit rock bottom and ended up in jail. While in jail, Jordan realized there was only one person who could get her out of this terrible mental and physical place: Jesus. As soon as Jordan was released from jail she told her mom that she needed to go to church. Her mom’s coworker had been inviting her for a long time, so that Sunday they all attended @elevationchurchcolumbia The next Sunday, she gave her life to Christ and was spontaneously baptized a few weeks later. Jordan is still working through the legal process of having the charges dropped, but knows that even though this situation was not ideal, God works all things for good and he used this part of her story to get her to him. Jordan’s story is one of redemption and God’s never-ending love for us and willingness to chase us down in any and every situation. [Jordan] #SWGCDTY
"Sometimes God will give you enough of the details to get you in the right area, but he won't give you so many specifics that you don't need him to show you what to do next." @stevenfurtick
